The Children of Lir - Christmas 2007

Our Christmas play this year was inspired by the Irish folklore tale. It told the story of the Queen, who wanted the kingdom for herself, and felt jealousy towards the children of King Lir. In a conspiracy with the Druid of Darkness, this evil stepmother hatched her deadly plan... This resulted in the children being turned into swans. However, help was at hand in the form of the Druid of Light, and with the help of others her evil plans were thwarted in the end.
