Upcoming Performance


Two plays are currently in rehearsal. The Youth Drama Group will be putting on ‘Flowers in the Desert’, by D M Larson, from 12th-14th February, and the adults will be performing a new comedy, set in West Cork in the present time, entitled ‘Beware of the Agapanthus’. This is scheduled for March 29th and 30th in Glengarriff, followed by two further performances at the Carnegie Theatre in Kenmare on 13th and 14th April.

Details for ‘Flowers in the Desert’:
The Glengarriff Youth Theatre Group will be performing “Flowers in the Desert” at the Glengarriff Parochial Hall on Sunday, February 12 at 2.30pm and Tuesday, February 14 at 8pm. Tickets are €5 for adults and €3 for schoolchildren.
This is a play about a Group Home for girls, set in a remote location. It follows the daily lives of troubled teenage girls from diverse backgrounds, all with different issues to deal with. The home is run by a strong willed woman who is always in command of every situation. The girls are there for various reasons and react to their situation in different and sometimes disturbing ways.  The Youth Theatre Group are moving to the next level in their theatrical evolution so come on out and see them.
