‘Play On’ has had its last performance

So the last of our five performances of ‘Play On!’, spread out over a period of three months, has finally come and gone . This was possibly a controversial, choice, but it did enable us to offer parts to a greater number of people than usual, making use of a welcome influx of new acting members from Bantry and Castletownbere. For the first time, we did a bit of navel-gazing, with a play-within-a-play, showing (perhaps unwisely?!) something of what really goes on behind the scenes in staging an amateur drama. It was perhaps a little exaggerated, but there were a few truths hidden in there…
